What Influx does
Influx analyses public YouTube channel data. You paste a channel link, and Influx fetches that channel's public statistics through the YouTube API Services and shows a report. You don't need an account to use it.
Information we use
- The channel link or handle you enter, so we can look it up.
- Public channel and video data returned by the YouTube Data API, such as titles, upload dates and view counts.
- Basic technical data your browser sends with every request (such as IP address), used only to keep the service running and prevent abuse.
We don't ask for or store your Google account, and we don't access any private YouTube data.
How long we keep it
YouTube data is cached for up to one hour to reduce repeat requests, and generated analyses for up to 12 hours.
To show channel growth, Influx records a daily snapshot of public totals (subscribers, total views and each recent video's view count) for channels that someone has looked up in the last 30 days. Each snapshot is deleted after 30 days, and everything stored about a channel is deleted 30 days after it was last refreshed, in line with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Growth figures are calculated by Influx and are not official YouTube numbers.
Third parties
Influx uses YouTube API Services; by using Influx you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Channel statistics are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude AI model generates the “Influx analysis” section. Long-term history is requested from Social Blade using the channel's public ID; Influx doesn't store that history.
